QUEENS MALL EXPANSION PROJECT (2006)
The Queens Mall expansion required a full set of solutions from Brookside. Services necessary for completion of the job included tank removal, soil excavation, and hazardous waste disposal. Throughout the project, Brookside's staff ensured that each service was carried out safely and successfully, with maximum efficiency. Years of experience allowed for the successful and expedited completion of a wide range of tasks.
Services Provided:
- Located concrete-encased gasoline tanks that were filled
with contaminated sand
- Excavated, cut, cleaned and disposed of fifteen,
550-gallon tanks
- Managed the installation of 1,200 square feet of
steel and wood shoring
- Excavated 1,390 tons of petroleum contaminated soil
- Stockpiled and thermally treated gasoline off site, for re-use
